After going home briefly, I went out to dinner with my family at the famous Cavalier of Virginia Beach. My mother has always been an avid red wine drinker, especially when she has the chance to have an amazing Cabernet Sauvignon. This red wine was big, bold, and full of soft tannins while being balanced out with rustic grittiness. Being from the Caymus vineyards of California, this wine was definitely on the pricier side, so hence the reasoning for getting a chance to drink it with my family. Although I am not a big red wine drinker, this wine has opened up my taste palate to other red wines. I had this wine alongside a medium rare filet mignon and it paired amazingly by matching the flavors and aromas of the steak.
